Tha's me inside the closest thing I have had to a home for the last 18 months, Sunset Bowling Lanes in Ballard, Washngton. They have free wirless internet 24 hours a day. Why does a bowling alley have free wireless internet? I don't know. I don't ask, I just use it. The "No Loitering" signs have become somwehat of a joke.If one follows a few basic rules(no sleeping, no asshole-ish behavior), you can pretty much loiter all ya want. I've become friends with most of the overnight crew...they see me as an eccentric writer, but not the day crew...they see me as a homeless bum :) My experiment with homelessness would not have been as succesful without the good folks at Sunset Bowling Lanes...oh and their free wireless internet.

that's pretty weird! free internet in a bowling alley?? But it sounds like a intresting experiment! I was homeless for about a week...quite awhile back. I was thankful it was summer and not winter. I was in DC, plenty of stuff to do to pass the time and getting my mind off myself. I learned A LOT!!! I wouldn't want to do it again, but I am glad I learned the life lessons that I did!

Yeah. I gotta admit I'm tiring of it, but after 18 months it's pretty difficult to crawl back up through the cracks, so I'm trying to find the peace of mind to expand a short story I wrote a while back to novel length. Right now I'm trying to kick this cold I've had for a couple weeks.
